Merge with Universal Energy of Love

merge with universal love

Meditation is an experience of heightened awareness not a state of unconsciousness.

My eyes close as I breathe deep, abdominal breathing, sinking down inside myself. I sense muscular relaxation, a slowing down. Releasing, relaxing further into a sensation of merging internal and external senses.

Flowing down to a level where a sense that the body’s appendages, organs, cells, atoms are just electrical vibrational energy.

My body looses definition boundaries and melts, merges with surroundings.

I sense that I am intelligent bodiless energy floating in a sea, a void of intelligent energy. With no focus or thoughts this energy is neutral. I am aware of emotionless peace, contentment. I am one with all space and energy. I think of this sensation as the Buddhist’s description of mid-path, neither joy nor sorrow.

The void I float in is both particle and solid, awaiting attention, command, thought to mold it into reality. I drift in a softness where I am can experience ‘me’ or I can shift focus and experience being other things, being all.
At various points, I realize I have left the energy state and have been thinking of breakfast, work, or the neighbors. I wish to stay with the meditation and let the extraneous thought dissolve as I breathe deep to return to the sense of bodylessness.

The more I practice meditation / visualization the longer I can stay in the energy state before mind chatter thoughts begin, also when doing a visualization exercise I recognize quicker when I’ve switched to a mundane thought and return to the visualization practice.

The meditative state is not a constant level; it can be compared to how when you are sleeping one moves through the depths and shallows of the sleep state. For example, you awaken from a deep sleep because of a sudden sound or physical need; you recognize the sound or attend to the need and return to the sleep state.

There are many styles of meditation, some connected to major religions. Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, and Muslims all use prayer beads for repetitive prayer meditation. The Religious Society of Friends, or Quakers, who received this name from their physical quaking when receiving the inner light of Christ, are known for their silent services listening for the "still, small voice within”.

Meditation styles include very passive where the meditator tries to be aware of the stream of thoughts, allowing thoughts to come and pass away. There’s focus meditation using candles, flowers and other objects to anchor one’s thought on a single object for learning how to control of the mind’s roaming thoughts. Mantra meditation which uses a repeated sound would fall in this category.

Walking Meditation is a practice, beneficial for physical, mental and spiritual well-being and especially useful for those who find sitting still difficult.

Visualization meditation can be passive (candle, flower) or actively envisioning a developing scene.

A variety of meditation techniques can be found in my book Relaxation Magic. which can be downloaded to your computer or you can order a hard copy.

Hypnosis is accessing the subconscious similar to meditation and visualization but with the hypnotist as a guide to implement the direction of the experience.
